Mr. Goodfriend oversees and formulates Alberleen’s investment strategy and initiatives with Ms. Caruso. As CIO, Mr. Goodfriend selects platform banking teams, supports these teams in their new business initiatives and mandates, and manages investments in the TAG Co-Investment Fund. He has over 25 years of investment banking, capital markets, and asset management experience. From 1990 to 2003, he was responsible for structuring and executing public and private transactions, initially as a founding member of the high-yield bond origination group of Chase Securities (a predecessor of JP Morgan Chase). Then, he was a product group head at SG Cowen, and subsequently a managing director at Bank of America Securities. In 2003, Mr. Goodfriend left banking to co-found The Airlie Group, a $1.2 billion high-yield bond and leveraged-loan hedge fund. He has subsequently held senior investment positions in ultra-high-net-worth family offices. He holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
